Thank you for considering this issue.

To acutually complete the editing I want to do, I will
need to make new card images, but scanning the game
pieces an using those images.

To this point I have just experimented with the images
presently in the Vassal game.  I have gone into the
scroll down list of plays in the editor, selected a
play and clicked on the "Basic Piece" property.  This
brings up the image of that play.  Then, I have
selected one of the other images already in the
sub-list.  So I have substituted one card image for
another.  When I have done this, the image for the
basic peice has changed on the screen and I have
clicked "OK".  

When I save the edited module and bring it back up in
play mode, I have expected to see different images in
different places among the cards of the game, but they
are all the same as usual.
