Joel, Thank you for considering this issue.
To acutually complete the editing I want to do, I will need to make new card images, but scanning the game pieces an using those images. To this point I have just experimented with the images presently in the Vassal game. I have gone into the scroll down list of plays in the editor, selected a play and clicked on the "Basic Piece" property. This brings up the image of that play. Then, I have selected one of the other images already in the sub-list. So I have substituted one card image for another. When I have done this, the image for the basic peice has changed on the screen and I have clicked "OK". When I save the edited module and bring it back up in play mode, I have expected to see different images in different places among the cards of the game, but they are all the same as usual.
