[vassalengine] Vasl boards not appearring

Hi, I wasn't sure where to find help on this. Apparently I've got the
boards loaded correctly in my Preferences, as if i start a game, i can
choose a map, yet when i try to jump in to observe someone else's game
online, no map window appears (though i can see them listing their
moves). Can anyone help with this?
