A look around the web showed me that there are Java libraries for playing MP3, FLAC, and Ogg. All of these would be smaller than any of WAV, AIFF, or AU, I think. It might be worth us looking into this. http://www.onjava.com/pub/a/onjava/2004/08/11/javasound-mp3.html?page=2 -- J.
