I know that there are a good number of non-English-speaking users of
VASSAL. If you're one of them, we need your help! VASSAL 3.0 includes full
internationalization support. Modules can be translated by making an
extension. But the VASSAL UI itself ( i.e. the File menu, dialog boxes,
etc.) needs a translation file to be bundled with the distribution.
If you're interested in helping translate VASSAL into another language, you
can help by downloading VASSAL 3.0 beta. Use the Translate menu in the edit
window to create a translation file and email it to me. The Reference
manual has detailed instructions. Probably takes less than an hour, so chip
in! It'd be great to ship 3.0 with a good complement of supported
languages.
