[vassalengine] Question: How to upload variant board images?

A question I have is: Does anyone know how to upload images of
the new variant boards for PanzerBlitz and PanzerLeader, and counters, 
into VASSAL?? I have some
knowledge of computer software, and just need some hints on where to
start.
