Make the cards larger so that at actual size the text is crisp and legible.
Then give the cards a game piece layer and set the module board starting zoom out further to make the cards appear smaller and lock the zoom levels. Add the Mouse over stack viewer and set it to to always zoom in to level 1.0 (full) on objects using the card's game piece layer. There are several card mods that use this method - Twilight Struggle is a good example of this _____ From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of drjoeyjoe Sent: Friday, September 21, 2007 10:20 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [vassalengine] Card Viewer Hey guys, I have a card game that I programed into VASSAL. There are about 400 cards in the game, so in order to keep the module size down and the processing speed fast, i used card images that are 100x169. This size has worked well because you can decently see the images on them, and all you have to do is select them and click ctrl+s to view the wording. But, trying to make the Vassal version better, I was wondering if there was a way to make a card viewer. I'm looking to make a little box where if you select a card, in the box it shows a higher quality version of the card so that you can see a clear picture and can easily read the wording. Maybe you've play Magic Online or something like that, and you know what I mean. This way, as you select different cards, it shows them in the card viewer, making the game much more user friendly. Thanks so much for your help, DRJOEYJOE [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
