Announcing a new discussion forum for the VASSAL community at http://vassalengine.org/forums/ Thanks to Ben Smith for setting it up and volunteering to be administrator!
For those who prefer to use email, there is a mailing list bridge. Forum posts generate a message to the mailing list, and replies via email generate forum replies. New messages to the mailing list will also generate forum posts. Sign up for the mailing list at http://forums.vassalengine.org/mailman/listinfo/messages_forums.vassalengine.org. The vassalengine.org main site, forum and mailing all have distinct login/passwords. The forum will become the preferred place for discussions of module design, bug reports, installation help, opponent's wanted, etc. The plan is for the forum and new mailing list to eventually replace all discussions on the Yahoo mailing list. We hope that the searchability and organization of forum discussions will make it easier for new users to become oriented, while the mailing list will remain as an option for those who prefer to run their correspondence in their own email client.
