Keep the images small and overlay the card image on a background. Anyone
interested in building a deck builder window object for Vassal?

I'm hoping to get some support with creating, from the ground up, a
CCG based on ABC's LOST television show. I have a good chunk of
rules written, and am starting card design.
I think Vassal would be terrific in getting things playtested as we
come to that portion.
Right now, I'm hoping to recruit some users here who are into CCGs
and have some experience in design to help out. All the stuff I have
is open to debate, but I have one unifying principle:
KEEP THINGS SIMPLE.
That means no absurd timing rules like Magic the Gathering. No
indeciperable Engrish names like YuGiOh.
I think LOST is really fertile soil for such a game, with four detail-
rich seasons, an active fanbase, and plenty of surprises still up its
sleeve. In addition, the show's attention to things minute, and its
fans' devotion to picking apart and analyzing every single thing in a
frame of video has given rise to huge hi-res photo galleries all over
the internet, making mock-ups a snap to create.
Right now, I'd love some critical eyes on my rules, no experience
with the show needed (in fact, it might be good to not have any and
see if you would still want to play the game). Eventually, I'll need
card designers (I have some basic mock-up cards I've created, or am
in the process of creating) and people who can put it all together.
Eventually, we'll also need a good hand at Vassal to start
playtesting.
It's a labor of love to be sure, but one I think will be loved by
many.
Thanks for bearing with the long post!
