Hi All, I have a problem with a program running on a user's pc. The program runs fine on many hundreds of other pc's, including those running Windows XP Pro which is what this user has, indeed that's what I use. One of the very first things the program does is to open a text file in its app.path folder but it is crashing saying it can't find the file, even though it is actually there. The exe sits in C:\Program Files\xyz and we've tried starting it there both by shortcut and by browsing to that folder and double-clicking the exe using Windows Explorer, same result. The odd thing is that the program sets a registry key to it's app.path value but it is returning C:\\ which is nonsense but would explain why it can't find the file. Does anyone have any ideas how or why the app.path would apparently change like this? Thanks for any help. Ian
