Hello all! ;-)
Got a few new questions!
1) I am using a licensed program which makes use of FOXPRO
databases. When I try to load these in Studio I don't see anything.
Could it be that there's a proprietary key or something in these
databases which prohibits me from checking them out or otherwise
manipulating them in Studio? As it is, I am having to build an
Access database to use with my programs since I can't figure out how
to utilize these Foxpro databases in the programs. A utility or code
to convert the foxpro databases to access might also be handy.
2) The last few weeks I have been getting some strange problems
with the desktop, mainly clicking on directory shortcuts that don't
work, or clicking on a file or directory in an folder explorer
window. When I exit Windows I get a "Proxy Desktop" not responding
error. Any idea what this is? I think I first noticed it after the
last Windows update. It could possibly be related to Windows Media
Player running in the background, or having been ran previous to
shutdown.
3) I will be doing a search in a database. In the past, since
the number of records has been relatively small, I basically have
been using a For/Next loop to search fields, one record after
another. The current database I am building will have about 8000
records I am guessing, so I was curious if you guys would be willing
to help me out with a SQL statement to do the search. I haven't made
use of SQL statements yet, basically just the DATA1 control. I have
some code I saved around here somewhere to do a index search apart
from SQL statements so I can probably get by, was just going to take
an opportunity to learn from the gurus!
Thanks in advance!
*-Chris
