Martin,
I'm not sure if I am fully understanding but I think that all you need to do is
open the VB Project file (the .vbp file) using something like WordPad and
you'll see the lines with references to the different drives etc. Just edit
them carefully, save the file and it should be Ok.

Subject: [vbhelp] Loading code without the forms
This may be a piece of cake and I'm too dim to see it. I have to
resurrect an old VB6 application which was originally run on a machine
with several drives. AS a result, when trying to load the source code
into VB6 it looks for the forms on drive F:, can't find them, and
won't load the rest of the code. If I could get to the source, I
could change the references to where the files and forms etc are. Is
there any way to load the source without the forms?
Thanks
Martin
