Hi Brian, and welcome to .NET. You're right, it's completely
different. Here's how to show a new form in .NET:

Private Sub viewOutput()

Dim frmOutput As New frmViewOutput 'declare a new output form

   Try
        'load the output window

      frmOutput.Visible = True
      frmOutput.TopMost = True

   Catch soe As System.ObjectDisposedException

       StatusBarPanel1.Text = "Window no longer exists"

   Finally

       frmOutput = Nothing

   End Try

End Sub
