Gabrielle,

About 10 years ago, I got a DOS software package called QFONT. It allowed
me to edit or change the font on any of the 255 characters in an HP
character set. This was before TrueType font. I was able to change some of
the characters I wanted to use for some printed packages. I looked thru
Tucows.com and some other software sites and could not find a windows
version for a Font Editor that was freeware. Lot's of editors as shareware
with a free trial period. If that would work for you, you can try making
your own subscripts.
