Position:       Java/J2EE Developer - Front End (SWING UI)

Location:       Wash DC

Duration:       6 months extendable



The Risk Management Applications Group (RMA) supports Capital Markets
Strategy (CMS) in developing applications that measure risk and return on
the Fannie Mae portfolio including interest rate risk and credit risk. This
includes attribution of risk and return.



The Developer will be responsible for implementing enhancements requested by
the Business Users to streamline existing application process of PRiMA (a
portfolio risk management system).

.Develop business application using core Java .Use Swing to develop UI
components .Produce high quality software, well designed, and implemented
.Follow the software development lifecycle adhering to appropriate
documentation procedures.

.Ensure that the product developed is adequately tested; support the testing
group as necessary during the QA phase of development.

Qualifications

.Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, Master's degree
preferred .4+ years of experience developing code using core Java, must be
very strong in core Java programming and OO design and implementation .2+
years of experience on browser based system development .2+ years of
development experience under Unix/Linux .Must be able to handle multiple
tasks concurrently, to work against aggressive deadlines with a high degree
of accuracy, and to adapt to changing business requirements .Finance and
fixed income knowledge preferred .Swing UI development experience preferred
Qualified candidates will be required to provide a written response to the
following question:

1. Use 100-300 words to describe the most complicated system/module you ever
designed/implemented, the following criteria shall be met:



* It could be a system, such as a Risk Management system, or a module, such
as a workflow engine.

* It has to be designed or implemented by the candidate. The candidate was
the lead or the sole developer.

* It has to be related to core java programming to demonstrate how good the
candidate is on OO design and implementing complicated business logic.
