*Direct Client:*

*Sr. Oracle Developer, Vacaville, CA - 6 Months*

The Consultant resource will perform the professional software engineering
functions (high-level work environment is UNIX and Oracle) for client’s
applications.

The following are some of the tasks the consultant will perform:

   - Provide solutions using Oracle technologies such as Forms, Reports,
   Developer, Discoverer, and Designer.
   - Create packages, functions, procedures using PL/SQL and all necessary
   database objects for enterprise solutions.
   - Provide assistance in performance tuning of any SQL queries.


   - Provide solutions in Oracle application (A/R, A/P, GL, Workflow, etc.).

   - Code the programs as per the technical specifications and unit testing.

   - Provide Support to client’s applications.
   - Work with the users, applications support and interact with other team
   members in problem resolution.
   - Share knowledge and mentor team members.



Additional responsibilities for the Sr. Oracle Developer are:  analyze,
research, and fix any performance issue in the application.



*Day-to-day responsibilities and Deliverables:*

The Sr. Oracle Developer will be responsible for the following:

   - analyze, code, and unit test the client application as per the
   technical specifications;
   - work closely with other development team members to ensure the
   application performance is within users expectation;
   - transfer knowledge to Application Support Team and the client staff.
   - Provide day-to-day technical assistance in resolving production
   problems.
   - Provide more in-depth analysis, diagnose, repair or enhance production
   application.
   - Follow the system development methodologies and complete assigned tasks
   within a reasonable time frame under the supervision of a manager.
   - Provide test plans and validate test results.
   - Provide suggestion on performance improvement opportunity on the client
   application.
   - Resolve performance issues as needed.
   - Mentor staff members in programming and problem resolution.



The Sr. Oracle Developer should possess most of the following technical
skills and experience:

·         Strong knowledge of Forms version 10g preferably, knowledge of 9i
under web environment is acceptable.

·         Strong knowledge of PL/SQL - Back end programming and expertise in
the following:

o        Packages

o        Procedure

o        Functions

o        Autonomous Procedures

o        Handling Arrays

·         Strong knowledge of SQL Tuning:

o        How to trace the SQL processing

o        How to convert the tracing into readable format ( tkprof )

o        How to interpret the trace report

o        Understand the causes and fix the problems

·         Candidate should know how to generate modules out of Designer

o        How to attach libraries in Designer

o        How to attach template form in Designer

o        Use of Object Library in Designer

o        How to do post generation using Forms

o        How to access RON in Designer

o        How to look for attributes

o        How to look for the values of domains

o        How to look for the existing indexes attached to the entities

   - Some knowledge with J2EE development, Java, JDeveloper and Oracle 10g
   is preferred.
