* * *Duration: 6 Months Contract* *Location: Virginia* *Rate: DOE * ** *MUST BE EAD OR GREEN CARD HOLDERS* * * *Job Title: **Application DBA/Sr. Database Developer* ** *Required Skills: * ** *·** **Seven plus years as a hands-on technologist with a good mix of database design mid volume databases, application development and database development.* *·** **Must have excellent data analysis, design and development skills built on top of five plus years in data intensive applications.* *·** **Strong in SQL and PL/SQL experience in an Oracle 10G/11G UNIX-based environment.* *·** **Must have strong experience in converting from XML to releational database and database modeling. * *·** **Must have excellent analytical skills developed in the course of at least several years experience in working with business customers or product management to define requirements and system specifications.* *·** **Must have the people skills to be able to work well with a variety of constituents to forge consensus around data strategy.* *·** **Must be willing to roll up sleeves to do the research necessary to define data and application requirements. A lot of the work will be in data analysis where requirements may need to be derived from available documentation, interviews with users, and file specifications/samples.* *·** **Must have demonstrated experience in working with other database and application developers to lay out software architecture strategy.
