platforms

• A proven hunger to learn new technologies and translate them into working

• Ability to effectively communicate to internal and external business
partners on solution design

*Position: Mobile User Interface/Experience (UI/UX) Designer*

*Location: San Jose, CA*

*Duration: Long Term Contract*



*JOB SUMMARY:*



The Mobile User Interface/Experience (UI/UX) Designer works closely with
the Product Team to brainstorm, conceptualize & create experiences around
video content on Mobile. Will be responsible for creating highly engaging
user experiences and visual designs for native mobile and web apps.The team
has the benefits of a big company, but gets to act like a startup.



*RESPONSIBILITIES:*



•             Collaborate with and work alongside product owners, user
researchers, content strategists, product managers, developers and business
stakeholders to define the user experience in an agile manner.

•             Develop an understanding of end users through secondary and
primary research (user interviews, traffic data) and development of user
personas and scenarios.

•             Create meaningful UX deliverables including sketches,
wireframes, user flows, storyboards, prototypes, and click-through demos
that capture key flows through interactive user experiences, and other
presentations that help the team understand what to build.

•             Lead hands-on development of high fidelity design mock-ups
through final assets for review / iteration / approval.

•             Facilitate design communication across teams throughout each
phase of a project, including developers to build and deliver prototypes
for internal review or user testing through final commercial launch.



*DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:*



•             Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BE) with focus on user
interface/interaction design, mobile design or information design, or a
related field (equivalent experience is acceptable in lieu of degree)

•             3+ years of user interface design experience for mobile
applications (Apple iOS and/or Android), desktop and web applications

•             Previous UI Designer experience at a company, interactive
agency or start-up

•             Online portfolio with a range of consumer product designs

•             Demonstrable understanding of end-to-end user experience
design, information hierarchy, user-flow, typography and media

•             Fluency in best practices for web-based or mobile-based
information architecture and design

•             Solid experience working with developers to convey design
features through sketches, wireframes, and mockups

•             Prior experience developing UI designs for rich media is
highly desired



*Skills:*



•             Expert knowledge of creative tools such as Photoshop,
Illustrator, and Sketch is required.

•             Proficiency in low and high fidelity interactive prototypes
using tools such as Axure, FluidUI, Invision, Balsamiq is desired.

•             Excellent visual (sketches, wireframes, flow diagrams, screen
mockups, etc.), verbal, and written communication and presentation skills

•             Mastery of UI design for mobile operating systems (Apple iOS,
Android, Windows Mobile)

•             Customer focused and commercially aware
