*Position: QA Consultant* *Location: Boston, MA* *Duration: 12+ Months* *VISA Status: No Constraints* *Pay Rate: $Open/hr * *No of Positions: 2* We are looking for a QA automation contractor for a very long term project with our client. The contractor will be supporting the Quality Assurance test process for a suite of Capital Markets. This role will require a quality assurance engineer, with strong business acumen, for instituting and carrying out quality assurance processes and activities in the development and implementation of all test activities. The quality assurance engineer will represent the Prime and Securities Finance QA team in carrying out a strategy and direction to achieve key business objectives by performing the following duties: *Primary Responsibilities:* · Review and understand system requirements and product specifications of Capital Market Systems, brokerage trading applications · Work closely with business partners to assure a stable and high quality product · Develop and create QA test strategies, test plans, and test cases to align with business requirements · Achieve consensus on test plans and test cases with all business partners · Assure execution of test plans and test cases to validate business and system requirements · Provide leadership in the research and resolution of system related defects · Assure approved processes are being implemented and carried out on all projects/programs · Provide timely status updates to management and business partners *Qualifications:* · Strong working automation knowledge with QTP. They need to have the ability to build out automation scripts independently. · An understanding of Quality Assurance process definition, system delivery life cycle, and process execution skills · Strong SQL Skills – Must be able to write queries and do joins · Strong technical skills across mainframe and distributed applications · Experience in working with multiple relational databases, Oracle, DB2, SQL · Experience with Quality Center and ClearQuest tools · Financial services/trading systems knowledge a huge plus – brokerage would be ideal Regards, *Ramesh,* HYR Global Source Inc.
