The SCM Engineer will work with the existing SCM team at supporting the creation of reproducible software releases as well as ongoing administration and maintenance of software configuration management tools, build environments, source code repositories, and servers in a controlled manner appropriate for regulated industry. * Duties and Responsibilities* • Work with SCM and Development to gather requirements of statistics dashboard • Produce web based dashboard that gathers real-time data from other supporting development tools and servers Responsible for software configuration management activities, including: • Collaborate with existing CM team to implement process enhancements and improvements. • Support efforts in improving continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD). • Standard source control support and administration. Responsible for SCM tools: • Manage and administer Source Code Control and Defect Management Systems. • Write and maintain scripts to automate and customize tools. • Act as a resource for developers. • Implement any new tools to support SCM and CI/CD. • Evaluate tools to support SCM processes and provide recommendations for implementation. Responsible for interfacing to IT and performing software-specific systems administration, including: • Array of build/tool servers for software projects • Internal network of target devices • Development domain Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with persons contacted in the course of performing assigned duties including company management and outside business associates • Ability to organize and prioritize workflow and to meet established timeframes • Ability to work under pressure • Ability to maintain confidentiality *Minimum Qualifications, Education, Skills and Experience* • Position requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. Knowledge of SCM best practices and standards (e.g. IEEE) • Working knowledge of underlying principles of SCM, demonstrated by experience in two distinct SCM environments • Working knowledge of maintaining build system and automating build processes. • Experience managing source code control systems, build automation, and deployment techniques • Position requires 4+ years' experience in software development or configuration management. • Experience in Scrum practices, ceremonies and methodologies • Experience building software products with C/C++, Visual Studio • Experience administering Windows servers • Experience administering Linux servers (headless, command-line only) • Knowledge of scripting languages, including Perl, Batch & Python • Experience developing web based dashboards with the use of external application APIs/REST calls or other exposed remote calls. • Deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and API's. • Deep functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc ) is as must to gather needed data. *Desirable Qualifications* • Medical industry experience • Familiar with DevOps concepts • Knowledge of embedded applications • Experience with Perforce, Jira, Bullseye, RTC, Klocwork. • Experience with Bamboo, Jenkins or similar build automation tools.
