Knows Containers ; Docker knowledge is a must – PCF is a big advantage - Very good scripting – be it Shell, Python, Perl, Ruby. Knows regular expressions, REST principles etc - Knows the CI /CD practices, knows how to build and deploy a Java project from code to deploy. - Good with SQL – should be able to run queries and extract info from variety of DBs - Good to have – automated provisioning like Chef/Puppet/Ansible – Not a Tool monger; but a person who can learn and adapt quickly - Good with Network technologies – basics and things like TCP/IP, Firewalls, Routing, DNS etc - Very good to have – Splunk – but watch out for being just a Admin – we need splunk scripters - Good to have – Dynatrace Overall – must be aware of practices like Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery – must know what DevOps is all about.
