The position will have responsibility and central accountability of all computing services infrastructure hardware and software components and configurations. Detailed Responsibilities: · Technically proficient in all aspects of Solaris and Oracle Enterprise Linux · Supporting a mixed & growing environment of Solaris, Unix, Linux and HP-UX Servers · Manage hardware and administration software in Data Centers · Monitor and troubleshoot hardware, software and networking problems as they occur. Respond promptly to maintenance tickets. · Schedule maintenance windows with server owners. Represent change and maintenance plans in change control meetings. · Perform patch management and installation. · Technical support skills and troubleshooting and problem solving skills · Solid verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required Required Skills · Minimum 5+ years of good experience as Solaris administrator. · Experience in Solaris, RHEL 5/6/7, Unix, HP-UX, VMware · Experience in Sun Cluster HA service group, Veritas Cluster Server Service HA Groups, · Experience in Solaris Clustering technologies, Solaris Zones, · Understanding of TCP/IP Networking and UNIX administration · Strong documentation skills is an absolute must – both technical deployment guides and process documentation · Able to work independently with little supervision · Required to have strong organizational skills and can easily prioritize project tasks as the Administrator will be working on multiple projects · Required to have excellent communication skills (both oral and written) · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ever changing project priorities DESIRED SKILLS: · Proficiency in configuring and supporting Nagios, VROPS and other monitoring services in IT infrastructure environment. · Proficiency with configuration and support of network services infrastructure components (ie. routers, switches, VPNs, etc.). · Excellent Communication Skills – written and oral. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "VB.NET 2003 Group" group.
