Hmm, there were almost no changes to 3D done since r49383 actually.
Do you have 2D video acceleration switched on, and if yes, does having
2D off and 3D on fixes the problem?
Could you also post me a VM log for the issue case please?

(50% on two cores) and no DT until you turn off 3D in the guest settings.
