If someone knows what the deal is with this, I've been ripping my hair out for the last few versions of VirualBox. There is some discussion about this at: http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=22750 Truth is, I'm starting to wonder if this is a hardware problem on my end...but then people like yourself and others in that forum thread are reporting the same issue. I don't know what to think. >From a development point of view, is there some way to get additional logging as to what VB is doing when the guest is (supposedly) sitting there idle? Would be nice to know where the tight loop is happening. I see absolutely night in my machine log while it sits there consuming 100% of the cpu.
