Yes, I got the crash from PUEL guestion additions too. I start the vm, then hibernate it, about 10 times, it then crashed. In between, I also shut down the vm from inside Start menu. 3D/2D are enabled, you may have to try many more times. Might be to do with my host? I can test on a different PC, too. I used a fresh xp vm, then install Sun's guest additions in safe mode. Then try to start/hibernate vm. Yes, I installed the OSE edition for the guest additions in safe mode, and google earth works fine in DirectX mode in vm.
