Alexey;
Bernhard is doing a wonderful job with the ports. I'm sure he has his
(good) reasons for doing it the way he has. It has been working
perfectly because I've been following bluelife for quite a while now and
the ports have always compiled and run flawlessly.
He surely does, and it's helping us to focus on the product as a whole.
Probably the few remaining code patches would break other OSs.
Not sure about that in all cases. He pushes things upstream regularly,
when they are sufficiently tested.
In the long run there should be no reason to have significant changes in
the ports.
Whatever... back to the UDPTunnel patch. It brought an aspect of
settings handling to my attention which can be called "unintentional".
Need to make changes independently of the patch to rectify this. This
will delay integration a bit - and I promise there will be enough code
cleanup that the author may have trouble recognizing some of his code :)
So overall - better wait until it shows up in svn, otherwise you'll have
to manually fix VM config files.
