Our OpenGL implementation is a permanent work in process, as it is rather complex functionality which is not our main focus. I don't think that OpenGL ES 2.0 is a true subset of OpenGL 2.0 (Wikipedia mentions that "OpenGL ES 2.0 is defined relative to the OpenGL 2.0 specification" but that "many implementations seem to be left handed, in contrast to OpenGL history" [1]), but I presume that Firefox is set up to do any necessary translation, since it is talking to OpenGL drivers and not OpenGL ES ones. So: wouldn't a bug ticket against our OpenGL functionality be more appropriate for this? (And confirmed, it fails here too on an Ubuntu 12.04 Alpha 2 guest and an Ubuntu 11.10 host, whereas it works on the host.)
