Hi Klaus,i use the XPCOM API from Java.I am an student of University of Messina 
and I'm working on a project called CleverCloud.i have to implement a function 
concern to the status of various VM.I tried to find examples but they all work 
with passive listener.I trust in his helpthanksTonino Barca

Do you use the COM/XPCOM API from Java, or the webservice?

There are quite a few samples in the VirtualBox sources, however using 
C++...
