As for the crash that I encountered with my framebuffer - I described them here: https://www.virtualbox.org/pipermail/vbox-dev/2015-February/012872.html https://www.virtualbox.org/pipermail/vbox-dev/2015-March/012976.html I know I don't have enough info that is why I asked just if there were some general issues with changing the core count on a Windows guest.
