Doing any realtime stuff (e.g. audio processing) on virtual machines does
not give good results. I had problems with audio qualify when using a
screen casting software on a VM some time ago. I ended up using a screen
casting software running on host operating system instead.

So I doubt that this is specifically Windows 10 related. Perhaps you got
really lucky earlier. See if you can boost the memory allocated, run as few
programs on the host operating system, optimize the VM for performance...
