For me, having the list name enclosed in brackets helps me at first sight look for a given list´s email messages on my GMail inbox, and likewise, scan my inbox for "direct" messages to me rather then list messages. It seems to me that people like to complain now, but did not complain before when vbox-users appended its list name too?
