thanks Michael,

Nothing at all, but then after a number of Try's I was able to see the files 
and followed the docs and its now installed.

working well now, I've a kUbuntu task bar floating at the top of my screen and 
my ArchLinux at the bottom.

As I'm dong some developement work in gambas I like to test it in a debian 
evniroment + download the svn to see if my code changes will be working for 
others, so its quite useful, though somewhat confusing because as the VM and 
ARch are running the same programs it can be hard to tell which OS one is 
using.
