Howdy, Recently I switched from `Windows XP' to `Windows 7.' On my laptop, I see VBox consuming more CPU cycles at idle than with `Windows XP.'
With `Windows XP', I was round three to five percent of a core. With `Windows 7', I'm at about 30-odd percent. Using `Task Manager', I see the `NT Kernel & System' System process bouncing between 7 and 16%. Given I'm not much of a Windows person and in order to help me troubleshoot this issue, does anyone know whether VBox would influence this particular System process?
