Make sure all VM's get a proper shutdown.
Get rid of any VBox snapshots.
Unregister all images and virtual disks.
Move ${ROOTHOME}/.VirtualBox and all files in it to
${USERHOME}. Change ownership to the account of the normal
user.
Register images and virtual disks again in the virtual media
manager and assign them to the VM's.
(untested)
Next time please read the manual before you start.
