as a followup to my earlier question, i have a freshly-installed VM
of natty narwhal (alpha) in my 4.0.0 beta3 vbox, with guest additions
installed.
i created a transient shared folder to one of my subdirectories on
the host:
vbox3 -> /home/rpjday/vbox3
with properties of read-only and auto-mount. on boot, yes, the shared
folder is auto-mounted:
$ ls -ld /media/sf_vbox3/
drwxrwx--- 1 root vboxsf 4096 2010-12-15 07:13 /media/sf_vbox3/
$
but it should be obvious that that folder is not world-readable, as
the user manual suggests it should be.
can someone clarify this for me?
