Host OS = Solaris Express 11 (64 bit)
Guest OS = Windows XP, 32 Bit
Graphics Card = Nvidia Quadro FX5800
Main Memory = 24 gig
Right now I have VBox 4.0 Beta 3 installed. The same problem has occured from
VBox 3.2.8 (my first install) to now. 3D acceleration never worked.
I installed the guest additions in Safe Mode with 3D check off to install. I
ran dxdiag to test it. It tested 3D acceleration for DirectX-8 and DirectX-9
good, no faults.
Here's the specific. I cannot start a program that require 3D acceleration eithe in
Direct X or OpenGL mode. The application is Pro Engineer WF5. I can start Pro-Engineer
with the acceleration mode turned off, basically switching it to "win32_gdi".
Does anybody have Pro-Engineer running in 3D accelerated mode?
I'd appreciate some help.
