Hi,

I have a Windows Vista Home guest running in a VM on an openSUSE 11.3 Linux
host. The Windows guest reports no audio output devices are installed. A
Windows 2000 Professional guest on the same host plays sounds OK.

In the Windows VistaVM settings, I have

Host Driver: ALSA Audio Driver
Controller: ICH AC97

I have tried the other controller options, e.g. Soundblaster 16 without any
improvement. The soundcard installed on the host is a Creative Soundblaster,
but the Win 2k guest only produces sound when I select the onboard ICH AC97
controller. Go figure.

Is this a known problem? How to solve it?

TIA,

Bob
