For several weeks, I have been unable to get a good download of the avaialble Ubuntu packages from the Oracle VirtualBox site for my Ubuntu 10.04 machines.
I just took a machine (at 10.04) that had not had any "exposure" to this site, and added the Oracle (and the Sun) keys using apt-key. Now apt-key reports the following on that machine: id Oracle Corporation (VirtualBox archive signing key) <[email protected]> sub 2048g/281DDC4B 2010-05-18 pub 1024D/6DFBCBAE 2008-07-14 uid Sun Microsystems, Inc. (xVM VirtualBox archive signing key) <[email protected]> sub 2048g/78A86EAF 2008-07-14 Then I added this to /etc/apt/sources.list deb http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian lucid non-free Now when I run apt-get update, I see the following: W: GPG error: http://download.virtualbox.org lucid Release: The following signatures were invalid: BADSIG 54422A4B98AB5139 Oracle Corporation (VirtualBox archive signing key) <[email protected]> W: Failed to fetch http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian/dists/lucid/non-free/binary-amd64/Packages.bz2 Sub-process /bin/bzip2 returned an error code (2) E: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead. Since I seem to be the only one having this issue, I must be dooing somethng wrong. But I have no idea how to address this.
