openSUSE 11.3 (2.6.34.7-0.7-default)(Host)
Win XP SP3 (Guest)
KDE 4.5.5 "release 1"
VirtualBox-4.0-4.0.2_69518_openSUSE113-1.x86_64
VBoxGuestAdditions_4.0.2.iso
Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-4.0.2-69518.vbox-extpack

All VirtualBox software was downloaded from:
 http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads

No updates to my Linux system since Jan 18. They were KDE 4.5.5
related updates.

After XP install I did update to SP3 and other security updates and I
loaded TurboTax on Virtual Machine.

Yesterday I installed VirtualBox 4.0.2., Guest Additions and the
virtualbox extension-pack all downloaded from the virtualbox website.

Does it matter on the order of installing above VirtualBox
applications?

This was posted to wrong thread yesterday.

All check sums passed test.

Steps:
I installed VirtualBox Extension Pack, Then installed VirtualBox ,set
up settings in the VirtualBox manager, and installed WIN XP. Installed
guest additions next.

After install XP showed 3 active usb devices, (4th one was not
activated in the manager because it causes keyboard hang ups).
I had 3 usb devices active under Devices icon ( MyBook (1TB) drive,
120 GB
Drive and my Xerox Phaser 6120 Laser Printer)on XP. Chessen PS to usb
converter was greyed out. Win Hardware shows the printer on usb001.
All discs showed up under My Computer and were accessable.
Printed a test page OK.

I shutdown the XP Guest for the night. Then I shut down the Host
(openSUSE 11.3). This morning none of the usb devices are enabled
under Devices (but they are enabled in the VirtualBox Manager),
after XP starts.

Nothing I do will enable them.

Has anyone else seen this problem? Is there a work around (it income
tax time and I need XP for that)? Where are known bugs reported so I
can look there?

Thanks for any help.
