I have an old application that ran from [floppy|diskette] disk and I'm
moving to an Win XP sp3 & updated on a Laptop. Using a binary editor I've
found ANSI.SYS is quite old. It's dated 1985.

The program uses character mode for simple line menus with the ability to
use the up-down arrows to select a line and then [Enter] to choose one.
ANSI.SYS emulates ANSI terminal escape, [ESC-codes] for controlling screen
behavior from the application.

Within the normal command.com environment under Win XP I see the
escape-sequences displayed as characters. There not routed to ANSI.SYS for
interpretation and display. Getting ANSI.SYS running working is necessary.

I'm wondering how VirtualBox would handle ANSI.SYS and how I should setup
for correct operation.
