since i don't have access to a windows 7 system, i'm hoping someone who has a few minutes and a windows 7 system with vbox 4.0.2 on it can download and verify the operation of an appliance that doesn't seem to work in a classroom environment.
here's the appliance: http://community.nuxeo.com/static/releases/nuxeo-5.4.0/nuxeo-dm-5.4.0_01-vm-ovf.zip this works just fine on my linux (ubuntu) host. the normal operation is that the appliance will start, take a while to establish an IP address, at which point once can simply browse to it from the host. works fine on my linux host but on the windows 7 host belonging to a student in the class, when the appliance is started, it just sits there, relentlessly trying to get an IP address and failing. i'm not a windows expert so i don't know if i have to reconfigure the networking. but if someone has the time and bandwidth, all i'm interested in is what happens when trying to start that appliance on a stock windows 7 system. can anyone help? rday -- ======================================================================== Robert P.
