OK, the bug is somehow related to RDP and guest screen resolution. My RDP client is set to full-screen and the resolution of my Windows 7 client is 1600x900. If I explicitely configure the Windows 7 RDP client to use a lower resolution, there's no VBox crash. Typically I use rdesktop as my RDP client on a lower resolution workstation, so I don't know if this is an old vbox bug.
