For some time now when I ssh into a windows 7 box with two vms
installed and run `VboxManage list vms', I get nothing.

If run run `VBoxManage startvm voi' I get an error message:

VBoxManage.exe: error: Could not find a registered machine named 'voi'

  VBoxManage.exe: error: Details: code VBOX_E_OBJECT_NOT_FOUND
(0x80bb0001), component VirtualBox, interface IVirtualBox, callee
  IUnknown

  Context: "FindMachine(Bstr(pszVM).raw(), machine.asOutParam())" at
  line 544 of file VBoxManageMisc.cpp
------- --------- ---=--- --------- --------

It makes me wonder if there is some way to `register' a vm so that
VBoxManage knows about it. I mean once some problem that has caused
VBox to loose touch with the vms.

At one time VBoxManage would list the two vms. And VBoxManage called
one of them by its host name `voi'

`VBoxManage startvm voi' would do the expected thing.

Some where since then and now something has caused VBoxManage to lose
whatever information it was working from.

There have been at least 2 updates to vbox in the time these to vms
have been installed. I installed the newest update each time.

  Currently running: 4.16r74713
