I have been ignoring the problem. Now when I tried to install 4.1.8,
I decided that I would
delete the older versions in the directory. That didn't solve the
problem. Then I committed
stupidity by deleting the .VirtualBox directory. Now VirtualBox does
not know where my
two guest OS instances are. How do you recover from such a stupid action?

I suppose that I won't get any response here on the mailing list; I
*must* use the forum to
get a response.

Thanks,
Ken
