Hi Richard, If I understand your situation correctly, you can use the CLI to access a remote, running VM. Alternatively, what I do, is I VNC to my remote machine and use the GUI. When I vnc a machine across a slow network connection I ensure all eye-candy is disabled on the remote end and invoke `vncviewer' with the following options: -encodings 'copyrect tight zlib hextile' -noraiseonbeep -compresslevel 9 HTH.
