Thanks Alexey but no. Version consistent all across

[~]>pkg_info | grep ose
virtualbox-ose-4.1.8 A general-purpose full virtualizer for x86 hardware
virtualbox-ose-kmod-4.1.8 VirtualBox kernel module for FreeBSD

[~]>VBoxHeadless --help
Oracle VM VirtualBox Headless Interface 4.1.8_OSE
(C) 2008-2012 Oracle Corporation

[~]>VBoxSDL --help
Oracle VM VirtualBox SDL GUI version 4.1.8_OSE

[~]>VirtualBox --help
Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager 4.1.8_OSE

I always deinstall the previous version before installing a new one.

I am far from an expert but It seems to me that it is a COM problem. If
VBoxHeadless (or VBoxSVC) spawns an instance of VBoxXPCOMIPCD, VirtualBox
doesn't detect it, or it does but "it isn't allowed" to use it, or tries
to spawn its own and it conflicts with the current running, I don't know.
