since i'm running a home-built kernel, i need to build virtualbox
from scratch on my 64-bit ubuntu 11.10 system, so i checked out the
subversion repository, did a configure, started installing required
packages but eventually got to:
Checking for Python support:
** Python not found!
so what exactly is "configure" looking for? python is certainly
installed:
$ python --version
Python 2.7.2+
$
so is there a development package i should be installing? thanks.
