That said it might be possible to develop such a thing, if you're willing
to invest resources (time and/or money). If you look at the NAT
implementation in Vbox you see that it is actually a bridge between
Ethernet and IP. Using similar idea and it might be possible to have a new
networking mode for Vbox called "socks proxy". Obviously it means that ICMP
and non IP traffic will get dropped in this mode.
