FYI: Using the Upgrade Assistant, 64-bit Win 8 Pro installed fine in a VM.
You will need a minimum of 8.5 Gb of free disk space during the
installation, in addition the required space for the OS files and whatever
else you hope to keep. I just let it install fresh with only the OS.

Ultimate should not be put into a VirtualBox VM, using a host of 64-bit
