Hello Virtualbox list,

just to inform you how we set up our corporate network:

We have decided to use Virtualbox as our virtualisation system on
production systems.
We have 2 physical servers whit each 4 virtual servers.

The network is as follow:
Incomming LAN with external IP.
There is an internal host network for the virtual machines.
The virtual hosts can access the internet with NAT interface.
And can communicate with the host with the host internal interface.
So, we can proxy webpages that are on the virtual hosts like
http://192.168.12.119.

On the other physical host, that's our internal server.
And the network interfaces are bridged.
So we have a file server, and also an OpenVPN-server with promiscious
mode on I think.

For controlling the virtual machines, we use phpvirtualbox with the
vboxweb service.
On boot, the virtual machines starts up, and on shutdown they will go
out with a "ACPI shutdown button" you can send with virtualbox.

So, that's how we set up our corporate network, and save money. :-)

Kind regards,
Matthias
