Pablo: "The above is `almost' causing me to put on my `admin hat' .... I
like to think that people on the list can discuss what they want and those
who are not interested, can simply ignore it."

Note that the phrase "admin hat" was one that you yourself brought up and
used about yourself. I did not coin the expression and pin it on you.

The point of my later statement about your said "admin hat" was placed
immediately within the context of, and right after the statement about, the
subject of my thread being changed from a technical consideration of Windows
XP, which is an on-topic point of relevance, but it then became changed to
an argumentative one about licensing issues. Somebody else objected to this
change of topic first, not me. I simply affirmed that I did not want it
changed in my thread to detract from the original technical topic.

The context of my statement was apparently overlooked. My subsequent
statement about your "admin hat" was then taken by you as a personal attack,
and you responded negatively. Even more, you then appear to have implied
that I was suggesting that you were not fit as an admin and ought to step
aside, but I did not state anything to this effect. And it was not my
intention that you do so.

Rather, my point was this: You said people are free to talk about whatever
arises related to Vbox. I said only that this is not true when you suddenly
decide that you don't want to hear any more about something or when you feel
like it, and that you have done that more often than you were acknowledging.
Right then at that very moment in fact you were exercising your prerogative.

You then said that my observation was a personal attack on you and that I
was bashing you. Nowhere was I doing so from what I could see. I was not
calling you names or slandering you. However, you responded emotionally and
subjectively once again, and this is related to my point. My sole point
concerning what you said.

Quickly you then decide you would kick me out of the group and ban me from
participation. This is utterly unfair and unwarranted. You also decided to
start, once again, an off-topic discussion using the same thread, despite
your claims otherwise. When the obviously excessive turn of events were
brought up to you by another admin, the founder no less, you once again
responded emotionally and told him that you were quitting your duties
promptly.

You even started to have other people voting one way or another about this
befuddled issue, which is entirely irrelevant to VBox technical issues.
Furthermore, you have continued to make mean statements about "relishing in
banning me from the list" and about "/dev/null" me afterwards. All the while
I remained quiet publicly from responding to your offenses toward me.

Therefore, it does not appear to me that I am to blame for any of the excess
or wrongdoing you are now seeing in the group. I would argue that you seem
to be responsible for it, and you won't accept responsibility for the
distractions. In fact you seem to be now contributing to the devolution of
this whole episode.

If I had thought for a minute that my apparently honest statement, intended
not in malice but in honesty, would have led to such foolishness and
distraction, I would have not said it. I regret that you have been allowed
to continue this, and I apologize to the group for my part in this
unfortunate distraction. I meant to speak only honestly, not maliciously or
otherwise.
